The Crystal Mystery Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley will be available to players once they’ve opened the pathway to Forest of Valor and reached a certain friendship level with the character Merlin. This one’s pretty straightforward and involves a bit of searching and crafting. So while you’re at it, here’s a rundown on how to easily complete the “Crystal Mystery” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so read on.
Crystal Mystery Quest Walkthrough
Talk to Merlin to start the quest, and he’ll ask you to come explore the Forest of Valor with him.
In this area, you’ll have to look for a Mysterious shard that looks like a Night Shard. You can find this lying on the ground near the Pillar, by the trees to your right. See the image below for reference.
Pick up the Shard and give it to Merlin. After that, he’ll eventually ask you to gather 5 Night Shards, but you should already have it on you by now.
If not, you can get Night Shards by digging glittering mounds in the ground using your Shovel, which can be found all around the Valley.
After that, you can give the Shards back to Merlin. Then, in a Crafting Station, he’ll have you combine a Dream Shard with a Night Shard to make a Purified Night Shard. (Interact with a crafting table and navigate to Potion & Enchantment)
Talk to Merlin again once you’re done crafting. He will then tell you that you can give the Purified Night Shard as a gift to any villager/friend in your valley.
The quest finishes once you gift the Shard, so it’s best to check your character collection menu first. If you’re luck enough, this might be one of your friend’s favorite things of the day.
