Fugu in Disney Dreamlight Valley is one of the rare fishes you can find during your playthrough. The game’s fishing system is intuitive, but catching every fish — especially this one — could be time-consuming. As such, if you’re wondering how to catch a Fugu, here’s what you need to do.
Where to find Fugu in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
Fugu can only be found and obtained by unlocking the pathway to Dazzle Beach, which will cost you 1,000 Dreamlights. But before you can actually even grab one, you’ll have to wait for the right weather.
More specifically, Fugu will only show up during Rainy or Stormy weathers in-game, so there’s no point trying to fish for it on a sunny weather in Dazzle Beach. You can’t tweak the weather as well, so you really need to wait for it to happen.
Once the weather is right, you can then start looking for Orange Fishing Nodes (bubbling circles) in the water. Even though it’s not a 100% guaranteed catch and only appear randomly, these Orange nodes are the most rewarding and your best bet on obtaining the Fugu.
If you’re having trouble locating orange circles, you may always try your luck and fish the standard white or blue nodes while you wait for new spawn locations to open up. While you’re at it, be sure to bring along a friend who can fill the fishing role. They won’t improve your odds of getting a Fugu, but they might throw in an extra grab if you catch one.
What is Fugu used for in Disney Dreamlight Valley?
There are 2 Recipes you can unlock that requires Fugu, and they are as follows:
Fugu Sushi – Fugu, Rice, Seaweed
Steamed Fugu – Fugu, Ginger, Garlic
You can sell Fugu for 900 star coins or even consume it raw for 1,700 energy. However, it’s best to use this to make a dish since it provides whopping amounts of energy. Steamed Fugu specifically, gives you 3,668 energy and sells for 1484 star coins even though it’s just a 3-star meal.
