Pokemon Scarlet Violet Clothes cover

Clothes are the main way to customize characters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. However, in line with the academic theme of the games, the clothes that are currently available are only limited to school uniforms. Despite that, there are plenty of accessories that can be found or purchased from shops that can still provide some customization.

In this guide, we will be talking about how to change clothes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to change Clothes

In order to change clothes, press on the Left D-pad to open the Outfit Menu. From there, you’ll be in the Uniforms tab where you can select through the different kinds of school uniforms that you can wear. You can change your clothes as soon as you step out of your house and right before walking the three starter Pokémon.

Each type of uniform is based on the season of a year. The uniforms as basically the same between Scarlet and Violet, with just some variations on the color and patterns on some clothes. Uniforms are worn as sets, so the tops and bottoms cannot be mixed and matched with other uniforms.

Here’s the side-by-side comparison of all the clothes between the two games:

Spring Uniform
Summer Uniform
Autumn Uniform
Winter Uniform

How to change Accessories

Similar to the clothes, you can also change your accessories through the Outfit Menu. Use the Left and Right D-pad to go through the different categories from Legwear to even your Rotom Phone’s case.

You will only have a few accessories as you start off in the game, but you’ll be able to purchase more of them by visiting the accessory shops in different towns and cities in Paldea. Shops can sell different types, themes, and designs of accessories, so it’s best to visit all of them to find what you might fancy.
