Garlic in Disney Dreamlight valley is a cooking ingredient that’s required to make certain dishes that’ll help you complete quests, increase friendship levels, and earn some star coins during your playthrough.

However, Garlic, unlike other ingredients, needs to be foraged and cannot be purchased from Remy’s Pantry or Goofy’s Stall. If you’re wondering how and where to get it, here’s what you need to do.

Where to Find Garlic in Disney Dreamlight Valley?

You can only get Garlic once you’ve unlocked the pathway through Forest of Valor, which will cost you 3000 Dreamlights.

Once you’re in Forest of Valor, you can then find these ingredients on the ground scattered everywhere within the area. See the image above for reference.

The actual garlic isn’t what you’ll notice on the ground; instead, you’ll see green, long leaves that are easy to mistake for grass or whatever else might be lying around. Since garlic sprouts in unexpected places, there’s no point in waiting for it to return to the spot from which you originally harvested it.

Additionally, be sure to bring along a friend as well who can fill the foraging role. While they won’t improve your odds of getting garlic, they might throw in an extra grab if you harvest one.

Several cooking recipes require Garlic, and they are as follows:

  • Arednellian Pickled Herring – Herring, Lemon, Onion, Garlic, Any Spice
  • Potato Leek Soup – Leak, Potato, Milk, Onion, Garlic
  • Fish Creole – Any Fish, Any Vegetable, Garlic, Rice, Tomato
  • Lobster Roll – Lobster, Butter, Wheat, Lemon, Garlic,
  • Mushu’s Congee – Rice, Egg, Ginger, Garlic, Mushroom
  • Creamy Garlic Scallops – Scallops, Garlic, Lemon, Butter
  • Fish Pasta – Any Fish, Garlic, Wheat, Milk
  • Lemon Garlic Swordfish – Swordfish, Lemon, Garlic
  • Steamed Fugu – Fugu, Ginger, Garlic

You can sell Garlic or even consume it raw, but it’s most commonly used as a cooking ingredient. If you’re looking to make some extra coins or make some room in your storage, this ingredient replenishes 135 Energy and sells for 60 Star Coins.
