Lucent Nargacuga is a returning monster in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. It is rare subspecies of the common Nargacuga and one that has the skills to disappear from plain sight. Lucent Nargacuga is expected to arrive in a free title update for Sunbreak soon, so hunters should prepare as soon as now for the challenges that it will bring.

Lucent Nargacuga Characteristics
As the name suggests, Lucent Nargacuga’s bluish-white scales and coat makes it look like it is giving off light or it is shimmering, especially under the moon’s light. It is also the main difference that sets it apart from the common Nargacuga whose coat is almost pitch black to help it hide in the shadows.
Despite this seemingly more visible appearance, Lucent Nargacuga’s scales can actually refract light in a way that makes it become invisible within its surroundings. Because of this, not only has it become an elusive enough monster to be tagged as a rare species, it has also made it a much more deadly creature to hunt. It doesn’t help that a Lucent Nargacuga is known to be more aggressive than a Nargacuga.
