A Land in Bloom is the fourth chapter of Fire Emblem Engage. Alfred, being eager to meet and talk to the Divine Dragon in person, bring Alear over to their country of Firene. Along the way, they managed to come across one of the towns being attacked by the Corrupted, and stuck in the middle of the invasion is Alfred’s sister, Céline.

Read on as we go through the events of Fire Emblem Engage Chapter 4: A Land in Bloom while we share more details about the story and characters, as well as some tips to help in the battles.

Chapter 4: A Land in Bloom Walkthrough

While making their journey through Firene, Alear and Alfred spot that the town is being invaded by the Corrupted. They head into the town and bump into Céline, Alfred’s sister, who luckily escaped the ambush.

    Acquire Second Emblem Ring

Céline was also entrusted with the emblem ring which allowed Alear to summon Emblem Celica. They head back into the town to fend off the invaders and save Céline’s guards.

A Land in Bloom Combat Preparations

For this fight, you’ll be able to control ten units, two of which are Louis and Chloé who are surrounded by enemies. During the party setup phase, make sure to equip Sigurd’s ring on to one of your units. You’ll also gain the ability to rewind actions you took in the battle by using the Draconic Time Crystal.

Learn how to use the Draconic Time Crystal

To use the Draconic Time Crystal during combat, you can access the by hitting the plus button (+) and choosing it from the menu. Reset fight moments with the crystal. Going back erases all subsequent moments and critical hits don’t function with the crystal either. Note that resetting the turn and attempting again will not fix a missed critical hit.

Execute side objective for additional gold

You’ll also be introduced to a side objective which is to visit the townspeople’s houses and warn them about the invasion. This can be done by sending a unit in front of their house gates and having the unit talk to the people inside the house. It should be done before any enemy unit can land on the gate tile. If done successfully, you’ll be rewarded by the town people with some items or gold.

A Land in Bloom Combat Phase and Strategies

The recommended strategy for this battle is to split your main party into two, with one party heading towards the north and the other one towards the east. As for Louis and Chloé, it’s best to play with their strengths by having Louis take care of the archers while Chloé deals with the magic users.

After defeating a number of enemies, the enemy captain will summon more enemies. You’ll need to defeat the captain in order to win the battle.

    Meet Veyle

Once the fight is done, another Corrupted will appear behind Alear, but it gets stopped by a mysterious girl named Veyle who suddenly disappears.

A Land in Bloom Post Combat and Exploration

After the fight, you can spend some time talking to the other characters and the rest of the townspeople. You’ll be rewarded with the following items:

    • Javelin
    • Hand Axe
    • Gold
      • 2,000
      • 10,000

You can also collect the following items from the glowing spots on the ground:

    • Bond Fragments
    • Orange
    • Egg
    • Tomato
    • Rare Fruit

There are also animals that you can adopt, however, some of them cannot be adopted yet until further upgrades have been done.

    Unlock Armory and Item Shop

As you exit the town, two townspeople will talk to you. They are Durthon and Anisse who will come with you to Somniel to become the armorer and grocer, respectively.
