Freya Combat Style
Freya doesn’t function much differently than Atreus. As a companion, she can shoot arrows at the player’s command and she uses both kinds of arrows. The biggest difference is in actual combat.
The former Valkyrie queen is a deadly fighter with the blade. She is able to use Bifrost in her attacks. But even more than that, she transforms into a Valkyrie every so often and unleashes devastating single-damage attacks. Of course, Kratos still has to do the bulk of the work. As convenient as it is to rely on Freya, she is quite passive in between Valkyrie attacks. Atreus, on the other hand, would be bouncing all over the place and jumping on enemies’ backs to set Kratos up for a finisher.
And that’s it for everything about Freya as a companion and the things you need to watch out for if you want to improve her and change her look in-game. For more God of War content, feel free to visit our other God of War Ragnarok guides and articles here.
