The Definition of a Hero is the fourth friendship quest from Buzz in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In this quest, Buzz wants to make amends with the villains that he has wrongfully accused and decides to establish the Space Ranger Academy for the Valley.

How to Complete The Definition of a Hero Quest

After reaching friendship level 10 with Buzz, talk to him to start The Definition of a Hero quest. You’ll need to have Moana and Remy unlocked for this quest. Follow these steps to complete the quest:

  1. Witness as Buzz apologizes to Ursula then talk to Buzz
  2. Gather the materials for the Space Ranger Badges then report back to Buzz
  3. Bring the Space Ranger Badges to the Villagers then report back to Buzz
  4. Craft what’s needed for the Star Command Academy Grand Opening then report back to Buzz
  5. Put on your Space Ranger Uniform (optional)
  6. Place the Space Ranger Buffet near Buzz’s RV
  7. Launch the Star Command Academy Grand Opening then talk to Buzz

Step 1: Witness as Buzz apologizes to Ursula then talk to Buzz

After talking to Buzz, follow him as he goes to Ursula. Then, watch their conversation. Afterwards, talk to Buzz and he wishes to recruit other cadets into the Star Command Acedemy.

Step 2: Gather the materials for the Space Ranger Badges then report back to Buzz

Buzz will ask you to create Space Ranger Badges for the new recruits. You’ll need to craft the following materials to make the three badges:

  • x3 Iron Ingot
  • x3 Fabric
  • x3 Blue Ink
    • x6 Blue Hydrangea
    • x9 Blueberry
    • x3 Vial

Once you have the badges crafted, report back to Buzz and he will tell you to choose which Villagers should join the Academy.

Step 3: Bring the Space Ranger Badges to the Villagers then report back to Buzz

You need to hand over the badges to these Villagers:

  • Remy
  • Moana
  • Scar

Once done, report back to Buzz and he’ll ask for your help in preparing for the Star Command Academy Grand Opening.

Step 4: Craft what’s needed for the Star Command Academy Grand Opening then place them around the RV

You’ll need to do more crafting, starting with these:

  • x20 Asphalt
    • x20 Sand
    • x20 Pebble
    • x20 Coal Ore
  • x1 Blue and Silver Balloon Arch
    • x10 Iron Ingot
    • x20 Blue Falling Penstemon
    • x20 Blue Star Lily
    • x20 Blue Marsh Milkweed

This part of the quest may take some time to complete, especially that flowers only spawn in few numbers and it takes a day for all of them to respawn. They do respawn one by one over a couple of hours, or you can do a time skip to force them to respawn quickly, but be mindful about its other effects.

Once you have all the needed items, place them around the RV and Buzz will give you the Space Ranger Buffet.

Optional Step: Put on your Space Ranger Uniform

You can wear your Space Ranger Uniform once more for the pictorial later on.

Step 5: Place the Space Ranger Buffet near Buzz’s RV

Open your Furniture menu and inside Buzz’s special category, select the buffet and place it in an open spot near the RV. You can also place in the arch from earlier, as well as the asphalt where you want to have the celebration.

Step 6: Launch the Star Command Academy Grand Opening then talk to Buzz

Take a picture with Buzz and the new recruits at the celebration spot and then talk to Buzz to complete the quest. You’ll also be rewarded with the Jetpack accessory for your character.
