Grave Dust in V Rising is a crafting reagent that can be used to make a wide range of magical items and consumables. Luckily, Grave Dust may be obtained in a variety of methods, and the difficulty of obtaining it decreases as you progress through the game.

For this, players need to know how to farm Grave Dust and what the best method in V Rising is to get it fast and efficiently, so here are the details on how to obtain Grave Dust in V Rising.

How to Get Grave Dust in V Rising?

You’ll need Grave Dust in V Rising to make your own Gravedigger Ring and a magic source, as well as Duskwatcher’s Ring. There are a number of ways to acquire it, all of which we’ll discuss below:

    Build a Grinder

    Build a Grinder - V Rising

To Craft your own Grave Dust in V Rising, You’ll need a Grinder to get the job done. The Grinder can be found in the Build menu’s Production and Refinement section and requires the following materials:

    • 8 Planks
    • 4 Copper Ingots
    • 4 Whetstones

The Planks are crafted in the Sawmill, whereas the Copper Ingots are smelted down at the Furnace from adding ingots. However, you are unable to create any Whetstones at this time. If you want to get your hands on a lot of whetstones, your best chance is to clear out bandit encampments and kill the bandits there.

Here’s a map location on where to get Whetstones in V Rising:

Keep an eye out for the item, as it can be dropped by soldiers around the camp as well. When you have all of the materials, go to the Build menu and choose an area in your base where you want to build the Grinder.

    Farm Graveyards and Cemeteries

To get Grave Dust in V Rising, the least efficient method is to defeat Ghouls and undead enemies that may drop the material. Grave Dust can be found in all the chests, barrels, and containers within the area as well.

You can go to any of these following locations in Farbane Woods:

    • Desecrated Graveyard
    • Infested Graveyard
    • Forgotten Cemetery

It is a good idea to pick up bones and Mourning Lilies along the way since they are required for eventually making grave dust and spawning ghouls in tombs. You can find both of these items along the path. Alternatively, you can simply rely on V Rising console commands and cheats to get through the game.

    Build Tombs to Spawn Ghouls

You can also farm grave dust by building Tombs. You will not obtain this structure until you have vanquished Goreswine the Ravager. You can track him by navigating through the Blood Altar; He’s a level 27 found in Farbane Woods.

After defeating him, you will receive a tomb structure that allows you to summon ghouls. 80 Stones and 20 Bones are needed to make this structure.

Afterwards, you can add 12 Mourning Lilies (which can be found in cemeteries) to summon Ghouls, who may drop Grave Dust if they are killed. As a result, players can farm Ghouls for their drops by spawning them over and over again in their Castle.

How to Craft Grave Dust in V Rising?

It is also possible to Craft Grave Dust with Bones. With the Grinder built, interact with it and make 1 Grave Dust by simply throwing in 100 Bones into the Input section of the Grinder window. Make sure your Castle Heart is well-fueled with V Rising Blood Essence, as always.

Additionally, with the Matching Floor bonus in your castle that you can get as you progress, the resource cost drops to only 75 Bones.

Keep lot of Grave Dust is needed to manufacture Scourgestone if you’re close to finishing your game. The Cursed Forest and the Ancient Village, are the best source of grave dust and bones when you level up.

In a single area, you can easily gather up to 12 grave dust and 500 bones. One trip to the location, then, ensures about 17 grave dust and a chance for Scourgestone for everyone who goes. Among the other items you’ll find are Ghost Yarn and Sectral Dust.
