There have been many items in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet that have given players a chance to either evolve or strengthen their party. Since the release of the game, there are a ton of unexpected discoveries that players couldn’t even imagine finding like evolution stones, mysterious Pokeballs, and more. Among them is one item that may be hard to find but very useful in combat called Life Orb. In this guide, players will learn what it is and where to get it, so read on.
What is the Life Orb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
The Life Orb is an item that can be used to be held by a Pokémon to boost the power of the holder’s move. However, each turn a move is used, the holder will eventually lose a small amount of HP in time. Mostly, this item is recommended for using Pokémon whose HP stats are high, but whose Attack stats are low like Abomasnow, Abra, Beheeyem, and even, Beautifly.
Where to Get the Life Orb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
There are two ways to get the Life Orb in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. The 1st way to get the Life Orb is to travel to one of the islands in Casseroya Lake where players encountered the False Dragon Titan boss. Search around for an island on the western side where the item can be found near a rock. Approach the item and the life orb is there. Do note that this item can only be found after completing the final mission story of the game.
The 2nd way is to travel to Mesagoza and shop in the Delibird Presents Shop. Mostly, all of the rare items used for combat can be found there including the Life Orb. The held item will sell for 50,000 Poke Dollars, so saving up in-game is a must.
Best Pokémon to Use the Life Orb
It is recommended that the Life Orb must be used wisely during combat. Personally, I believe that certain Pokémon who have the ability known as Sheer Force should use this item since they can cancel out the drawback ability of the Life Orb. The Recommended Pokemon that should use this is the following:
- Landorus
- Nidoking
- Kingler
- Tauros
- Totodile
- Steelix
- Bagon
- Squakabilly
