How to Solve the Monolith Riddle in Saints Row

Where does the riddle lead to?

Saints Row Monolith cover

Somewhere in the Badlands South desert in Santo Ileso is a strange metal monolith that is surrounded by floating rocks. On one side of this monolith is a riddle that seems to point to a certain location. Santo Ileso is not much of a huge place, but it can get challenging to find where to start and where to go.

In this guide, we will be going through the monolith riddle and solve it in order to uncover its mystery.

Where to find the Mysterious Monolith in Saints Row

The Monolith can be found in the Badlands South, near a camp and where a couple of Lost Wheels pinwheels are also located.

How to solve the Monolith Riddle in Saints Row

On the side of the monolith is a set of phrases that appear to be directions that lead to a particular place in Santo Ileso. It goes like this:

FIND THE FORK
ALONG THE ROAD NORTH
SWING LEFT FROM THE TWIN BRICKS
JUMP ONCE
IF YOU JUMP TWICE, YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR
BROKEN WAGON IS RIGHT
DOWN YOU GO
ONCE YOU CREST AND SANTO ILESO IS IN VIEW
RIGHT ON THE MAIN
WRAP AROUND THE BOULDER
TAKE A LEFT
FOLLOW THE DIRT NORTH INTO THE CANYON
STAY LEFT AND HOWL AT THE MOON, TWICE
AFTER YOU TINKLE YOU'LL FIND A SHACK
WAIT TIL SUNDOWN
BRING A BAT
WEAR SOMETHING PINK
DON'T FORGET $20!

Follow along the directions below to know where to go according to this riddle.

FIND THE FORK, ALONG THE ROAD NORTH

The first objective is to find the fork where it all starts. This fork is a literal one and not just a path that diverges into two directions and it can be found in Rojas Desert South, near the Ringers Clothing Store.

SWING LEFT FROM THE TWIN BRICKS

From the fork, take the route that goes north and continue driving until you see the twin bricks on both sides of the road. From here, go off the road and turn left.

JUMP ONCE

Continue following the path until you see a ramp. Use the ramp to jump across the other side of the river. You’ll arrive at a place where there’s another ramp and some abandoned buildings.

You will also find the broken wagon in between the two paths. Go down the right path and go straight down until you arrive at a fork in the road (not literal this time), from this, take the left path and go up the hill.

ONCE YOU CREST AND SANTO ILESO IS IN VIEW, RIGHT ON THE MAIN

As you arrive at the top of the hill, you will have a view of Santo Ileso. Continue down the path and you will arrive at Route 66, then turn right.

WRAP AROUND THE BOULDER

While on Route 66, continue driving down it and do not take a left on the first intersection; you will have to drive until you find the boulder on the left side of the road.

TAKE A LEFT FOLLOW THE DIRT NORTH INTO THE CANYON

Once you are past the boulder, turn left, and then turn left again into the dirt path that leads to the canyon.

STAY LEFT AND HOWL AT THE MOON, TWICE

Drive through the canyon, then cross the road and you will arrive at the Twin Coyote.

AFTER YOU TINKLE YOU’LL FIND A SHACK

Head to the back of the building where you will see the portable toilet, and behind it is a shack with an open door.

The alien head was an accessory that was sold by a nearby shop

Head inside the shack and you will see that it goes down to the ground where a UFO has been stashed.

Now as for the final few lines of the riddle, we have tried to see if something else will happen if we waited up until nighttime, wielded a bat weapon, wore something pink, and had at least $20 in our pocket. So far, nothing has happened. We’ve also tried to follow the path from the fork during nighttime, but that did not do anything. The Camera app did not have any special interaction with the UFO either, nor did any achievement pop out.

It is probably just a visual Easter Egg for the game, or it may be tied to the alien invasion in Saints Row IV.
