Stone Dust in V Rising is used to craft one of the most important resources in the game. In this crafting-survival game, some players fail to find this resource and end up searching for it all around.
During the early stages of the game, players are likely to collect some Stone Dust, which they can use when they first discover a use for it. You may run out of Stone Dust sooner than you think, and you’ll need to come up with a way to get more.
The best way to get Stone Dust is to craft it yourself, so here’s a rundown on how to get Stone Dust in V Rising.
How to Get Stone Dust in V Rising?
You’ll need Stone Dust to make Whetstones, and Whetstones are required to enhance your early-game gear. Adding to this, the use of Stone Dust and Stone Brick is a natural combination. As a result, if you’re looking for one, you’ll also find the other.
You’ll find some of them in the various chests strewn across the map. You might also find some near destructible buildings and objects, as while you’re breaking pillars, however getting one of these items as a drop from one of the stone structures you destroy is not guaranteed. Therefore, it is better to Craft Stone Dust.
Build a Grinder
To Craft your own Stone Dust in V Rising, You’ll need a Grinder to get the job done. The Grinder can be found in the Build menu’s Production and Refinement section and requires the following materials:
- 8 Planks
- 4 Copper Ingots
- 4 Whetstones
You’ve probably noticed that in order to make Stone Dust, which is then utilized to make Whetstones, you’ll need Whetstones.
The Planks are crafted in the Sawmill, whereas the Copper Ingots are smelted down at the Furnace from adding ingots. However, you are unable to create any Whetstones at this time. If you want to get your hands on a lot of whetstones, your best chance is to clear out bandit encampments and kill the bandits there.
Farm Stone Dusts and Whetstones
The Bandit Armory and Bandit Encampments near the center of Farbane Woods are the best places to farm Stone Dust and Whetstone in the world of V Rising.

With the Grinder built, all that is required of you at this point is to place stones from your inventory into the Input boxes on the Grinder. The same techniques are used to make Stone Brick and Stone Dust. For every 12 stones you put into the Grinder, you will get x1 Brick and x1 Stone Dust.
The stone dust can be recycled into whetstones, while the bricks are used for building purposes. After you have defeated Grayson the Armourer, a Level 27 boss, you will unlock the ability to craft Whetstone in the Furnace. These costs are as follows:
- 12 Stone Dusts
- 1 Copper Ingot
Both of these resources allow you to customize your castle and make your own whetstones. It takes a long time to make Stone Dust compared to other things you can produce, but it’s an important aspect of the game that will help you progress faster.
