Tips for getting Afflicted Materials in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak
- The drop rate for getting any kind of afflicted material is at 20% for Broken Part rewards and 20% for Carves, so make sure to try and break all of the monster’s breakable parts; afflicted monsters cannot be captured.
- Getting the Partbreaker skill will make it easier to break monster parts.
- Equipping the Feather of Mastery headpiece will grant the Carving Master skill which allows a bonus carve per monster. This is only recommended for skilled hunters as the headpiece itself does not have high stats. The skill does not work if you join in an ongoing hunt; you must join the party before the hunt starts or initiate the hunt yourself.
- Another gear option is to get the Good Luck skill which improves the chance of increasing quest rewards, however this requires 2-3 ear pieces to reach the max skill and it’s not a 100% guarantee.
- Getting the Rosy Dango in your meal can give you the Dango Carver (Lo) skill which give you a chance to get another carve off a monster, however this dango is part of the daily specials list and therefore is not a reliable method.
