Chapter 7: Dark Emblem Walkthrough
As they make their way to Brodia, Alear and Alfred get attacked by Alcryst, the prince of the kingdom of Brodia, accompanied by his two allies, Lapis and Citrinne. He then recognizes the prince and instantly begged for their forgiveness for almost harming the Divine Dragon. They then join up with the party and headed towards the castle, but their path is blocked by another army. It’s the forces from Elusia led by their second princess Hortensia.
Dark Emblem Preparation
For this fight, you’ll be controlling 12 units that includes Alcryst, Lapis, and Citrinne. It’s best to bring Etie to deal with the fliers and cover half of battlefield along with Alcryst on the other half. Bringing someone who can go through enemies like Alfred can help lessen the threat of units at the backline.
Smash Weapons
You’ll get to experience using the smash mechanic with Lapis as she wields a blade that is strong enough to knock and enemy back a tile. The catch is that these heavy weapons are slow, so they lose the initiative and cannot do a follow-up attack.
Dark Emblem Strategy
There are two barricades of enemies before you can get close to Hortensia. To prevent the chance of being overwhelmed, it’s best to deal with these barricades one by one and let them approach your formation instead through kiting.
On the second barricade, prepare your archers to cover both the upper and lower sides of the bridge where two fliers will fly in.
When engaging with Hortensia, be wary of her engage attack as she is wearing the Ring of the Exalt Princess which lets allies adjacent to the target do chain attacks. Make sure to have your tankiest unit be the frontline as you can expect it to get surrounded by Hortensia and her allies. Baiting them this way will allow you to surround them instead of the other way around.
